In the Mood with Symphony Orchestra

Reminiscent of the golden era of Hollywood and the great movie studio orchestras, IN THE MOOD with Symphony Orchestra recreates the best music of this era. IN THE MOOD aspires to promote the memory of this most significant time in American history and continues to inspire audiences of all generations. For over 2 hours this big retro show will hold your audience enthralled with its large cast and period costumes, fine big band arrangements, vocalists delivering songs from the 30s and 40s, choreographed dance routines and shear American pizzazz!

The unique combination of the sensational String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra, the IN THE MOOD Singers and Dancers as choreographed by Broadway veteran Alex Sanchez, and your symphony orchestra will be the highlight of the season in a musically jam-packed performance. Treasures such as Swingin’ on a Star, Tuxedo Junction, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Sing Sing Sing, Chattanooga Choo Choo, I’ll Be Seeing You, La Vie En Rose, Take the A Train and The Last Time I Saw Paris are just a small part of a program that will leave your audiences cheering.

IN THE MOOD, a 1940s musical revue has been touring the world for almost a quarter century. Many musical arrangements for the show were written by Hollywood veteran Vic Schoen (music director for Paramount and Universal Pictures and arranger/conductor for the Andrews Sisters) and orchestrations supervised by renowned Grammy Award winning orchestrator and arranger Marion Evans (arranger for Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Steve Lawrence, Eydie Gormé among many others as well as 11 Broadway shows), IN THE MOOD is now looking forward to performing in concert with symphonies everywhere. Songs like Memories of You and All the Things You Are along with a special musical tribute to all veterans will have your audience saying Thanks for the Memory.

IN THE MOOD with Symphony Orchestra comes complete with all arrangements, scores and charts for your symphony musicians.

Comments & Reviews

“IN THE MOOD was the absolute finest musical production of the 1940s era I have ever seen. It represented the mood of the times and brought back memories both sad and uplifting and it all was reflected in the music”.
